    Different Boot Configurations

Hey everyone. I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to boot up with different configurations depending on what I select in the GRUB menu at startup. For example, when my computer starts, I'd like to be able to, say, select one option that boots up with Apache started, but then have another without it.

Any ideas of how to go about doing this? Is there a way to have GRUB execute a certain script while booting with one selection, and then execute a different one with another selection?

Hopefully I haven't made this really confusing! Thanks for any help!

No ideas? Or is this just not possible and I'm an idiot?
