K3B and copying errors

I have been using Ubuntu since Jan this year and suddenly I get errors in K3B 'copying' and CD/DVD creator when copying a DVD.
Have checked and re-checked all settings but am wondering if something has changed during any updates.Have removed K3B and re-installed looking for an answer.
The program works in all areas except 'copy'. These DVDs are not copy protected but Tutorials I have produced in the past.
When copying a DVD RW it works, but when trying to copy to a DVD+R I get a part write then an error.
Any suggestions greatfully received.
