    [SOLVED] terminal bell

is there any way i can make my terminal bell work on my laptop?

all my sound and video and everything works great except for the terminal bell...

this i guess is not really that important but i would like the bell working so when i do a clamscan i can set the --bell option and actually hear it
(also it just really annoys me when i cant make something work right)

Go to your sound preferences and find the System Beep tab.
    Then turn it on.
Why can't life have a sudo apt-get install -f command?
Install VMWare Server 2 on a text-only system

In the Terminal application: Edit -> Profiles -> Edit -> General

Is the terminal bell option checked?
