How do I burn an actual Audio CD, not MP3's?

I've got CD players which do not play MP3 files, and I don;t really feel like going and buying new CD players, and stereo's when the old ones still work just fine. I found that I can burn mp3's with audactiy, but it doesn't actually create an audio CD, just mp3 files. What can I use to convert to and burn an actual Audio CD?

Poopy, try File-> Export to *.wav format in Audacity and that should play in an ordinary CD player. The file size will be larger.

is what you need. It is included in Hardy repository and installs easily.

No.

[Most] CD players cannot read data CDs. Serpentine is probably the easiest way to burn audio CDs. K3B has the ability too.

I burned two CD's using serpentine and my CD player errors out when trying to play them. They play fine and are recognized as Audio CD's on my Ubuntu machine, so I'm a bit perplexed. Any ideas? And thanks for the suggestions!
