I have some experience in Linux, but in wifi things.
So once in a year I have to connect ma Laptop to a wireless Network.
Therefore I use a PCMCIA Card with an Atheros AR5212 chipset.
The network I want to connect with shows up in the Gnome Network Manager applet with some other networks too.
After I select the network and type in the 26 digit hex key there is no connection. One Minute later I am asked for the wep key again.

It's my first attempt with 8.04. There was no such behavior in 7.10.

Any ideas?
