Installed on MBA, but won't boot from HD

    Hi,
I just installed 8.04 in a dual boot on my Macbook Air (MBA). I installed rEFit beforehand etc and I even got wireless working (I'm writing now from my MBA).

I even have a nice boot menu from rEFit and the choice is indeed there to boot Linux from the hard drive, but when I do, it hangs and says:

"No Bootable Device, Insert CD and press enter"

So if I put in the 8.04 CD right then, nothing happens still. So I have to restart and when it boots from the CD there, I choose the option: 'Boot from first hard drive'. THEN, I think I'm getting my ubuntu partition, but I'm still not sure.

It seems that EVERYTHING went right, except I can't boot from a menu that apparently seems correct in every way. I hope someone can help me here.

Many Thanks for any assistance,...Frank B.

Ok, I followed other threads. After all that, one has to sync the partitions, which is done with the partition editor right at the rEFit menu. Then Ubuntu will then boot. Thanks.
