Grub loads slowly with slave hard drive installed
I have a Primary Master Hard Drive that has xubuntu installed on it and a Primary Slave Hard Drive connected to it also. Whenever I have the slave drive connected grub takes about 30-40 sec to load but if I disconnect it and change the bios settings back it loads in 2-5 sec. Does anyone know if grub naturally loads slower when a slave is connected? The slave is formated to the ext3 filesystem but is otherwise empty if you need to know. In a somewhat related question the drive doesn't show up in the Places folder on the desktop either but mounts fine.

do you have a reiserfs partition?
