Change PPTP VPN Port ?

hi,
I'm using Networkmanager with network-manager-pptp under 8.04 on my thinkpad X31.
In order to connect to a certain vpn server which does not use the standard pptp port 1723/TCP I need to change the pptp port.
Does anybody have an idea how to do that? It would be nice to change the port only for one vpn connection but if necessary I'd change the port "globally" too..

Perhaps you could try specifying the server address with the port designation as well, no idea if it will work but its worth a try.

eg. vpn.server.comortnumber
