I lose visual effects after upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04. Before upgrading, visual effects was working just fine.

I have an ATI 9600 and I installed the driver from ATI. I have also installed compiz.

But when I choose to enable visual effect in gnome-appearance-properties, I get a blank screen and after press Enter/Return key I this output:

Driver "ATI accelerated graphics driver" is already enabled and supports the composite extension.

Should I uninstall ATI driver and use some other?

How can I get visual effect work correctly?

Thanks.
