How do I enable pae

I've got 4GB of ram and a processor that supports pae (from /proc/cpuinfo).

How do I enable it so I get the use of all of my memory?

I think the server kernel has PAE support compiled in. Otherwise I think you will have to compile your own kernel. Wow that is alot of ram. I have 200mb and it does pretty good for me. :O
I think you can install and run the server kernel with a desktop system. Worth a try.

The PC came with Vista!

I'm not really having any issues running out of memory with Hardy, but it would be nice to use it as it's there. What differences are there between the server and desktop kernels?

So if your running a 64 bit kernel... you shouldn't have to worry about it.
That's what I figured.
And there are some issues with the server kernels... but if you run everything open source. then it shouldn't be an issue.
