Pidgin doesn't alert me anymore to new messages

I just installed Hardy, and most everything's fine -- except for one thing. Pidgins entry in the window list doesn't blink/throb anymore when a new message comes in. I'm not sure it this is a pidgin thing or a gnome thing -- I'd test it if I knew of any other apps that use this functionality, but I don't.

Here's a picture in case I'm not being clear enough:

That button used to change colors and blink whenever a new message came in. Now it doesn't.

    Any ideas?

Like that? Goto Tools>Plugins and turn on Message Notificatoin 2.4.1, it's got a bunch of other options, but by default it makes it flash like I have it.

Seems it has no notification in the minimized window bar by default

I was having this same issue, and another one too. Sometimes, when I receive new messages, the alert message doesn't play. Then when I reply, it sounds like both messages play at the same time.
