    Question Ubuntu Driver Help

helllo, i am new to ubuntu, and i recently got 8.04 up and running great. But i have a problem. I do not know how to install the drivers that i need in ubuntu. If there is a program that i can use to download drivers, please tell me. If there is a website of all ubuntu driver downlodas, that will help me out too.

The driver that i am trying to install is for Realtek ALC662 6-channel audio (intergrated sound on my mobo)

But it would help if someone could tell me all the drivers that i need for the ECS Elitegroup Geforce 7050M-M Motherboard.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Ubuntu Driver Help

The audio driver, if covered, would be covered under the ALSA package, and if you have sound working, then you should be good. The Nvidia driver can be installed and enabled, if not already, in System > Administration > Hardware Drivers.
    System76 Gazelle Professional (GazP6)
    Intel Core i7 2820QM, 8GB DDR3, nvidia GTX 460m, OCZ Vertex 3
    System76 Starling (star4) Netbook.

    double click sound icon
file-allows you to change sound device.
preferences allows you to alter available switches
more often than not enabling switches=sound
