Hi everybody,

In my attempts to learn PGP and Seahorse in particular I created my first key. Little did I know you needed a revocation certificate if you ever lost it. So in wiping my computer and moving to hardy I lost my first key.

I created a second one and appended a note saying that the new one superceded the old one. However, I don't want the same thing to happen again!

So, two questions.

1. Is it enough to backup the .gnupg folder in home? Will that contain my public and private key and thus be a proper backup.

2. How do I create a revocation certificate in Seahorse?

Cheers for any help.

Phil
