    file viewer for.chm?

    the default one seems to be hh which I think is a windows program?! anyway it works very badly - is there some-other program I can use to view .chm files?

    Hello, chickenPie4breakfast.

    Launch Synaptic and look for the package named chmsee. It is not perfect, either, but it beats the Windows helpfile viewer which comes with Wine by miles.

    hhm, are you the famous Karlchen of TotalCommander forums ?
    thanks for the tip - I installed it and xchm to test them both - I'm sure they are going to be miles better than hh - which was horrible
