Why did this sticky get reposted by someone else?

This sticky is just a copy of mine, it is no longer under my editorial control. If there are any changes to be made, I cant make them. Secondly, all the post history is no longer attached. Sadly No One Asked Me. A PM would have been nice. It isn't like I am not on the forums multiple times a day.

The thing is, it was a sticky. The original post by me was stickied. It was taken down and replaced by a copy of the post. Why not simply replace the original found here? Since there wa sa sticky, why not leave it and pm the original poster about recreating it if necessary, along with a nice explanation about why it needs to be recreated. Is it such a hard thing to be polite and talk to people?

Moving threads from the Archives is not recommended. Matthew posted a notice that we need help migrating stickies and ajmorris just responded to it.

But not to the people who posted the stickies. Because I don't think everyone reads all areas of the forums. This was something that probably effected every part. While a lot of the stickies were probably posted by admins who visit a lot of different areas. It is harder for those that stay in one part (of the imho huge forum) to always know whats going on in other parts.
I understand the need for the recreation of the posts now. All I was saying was a pm would have been nice to all the people who help maintain the stickies on the sections. If not an announcement visible from every part of the forums would have worked.
I will recreate it, where should I leave a link to the new post?

I think it was an oversite. I remade some stickies by other people as well, but since they were mods, they can edit "my" threads easily.

Make the new thread, and post a link here or report it.

I can understand, the forum staff are probably busy with the post from the new release and new forum software. I just did, Its just a copy, but at least I can edit it if I need to. Something that happens all the time in howto threads.
