I just finished installing Hardy, however the largest resolution I can have at the moment is 800 x 600. Anyone figure out how to resolve this issue?

I remember having this problem with Gutsy, someone had me do something with my xorg.conf file because it didn't look right.
Here's what it looks like:
# xorg.conf (X.Org X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

But if anyone has another suggestion I'm all ears
If you have a Nvidia or an ATI card, just install the driver with restricted driver manager tool.
Only knowledge will set you free.

I don't see the restricted driver management tool in administration though.

Oh wait, I see it, it's called Hardware Drivers. I have all of the drivers enabled, however nvidia_new says "not in use", how do I cahnge that?
Yes, just click on it, driver will be loaded and then installed. A reboot after, you'll get the driver installed and it will be great

Thing is I did check off nvidia_new, however in the status column it says "not in use". ANyone have any idea why this would be? Seems odd to me..

I tried that several times, however, nvidia_new still has the status "not in use". Anyone know of anything that I MUST have for it to work? If so, could you tell me how to get it exactly?
