can't login from main screen

I can't enter my username on the main screen because the "Search" box crowds into the username box. (Once I go to other screens, like after clicking on a thread or after searching, then I can log in).

When I tried that, my username/password were not accepted. Then I could find no way to exit from that screen, so I had to hit the power button on my computer and start up again.

However, I'm trying a different workaround: clicking the box for "remember me" next to the login boxes.

In any case, my main intent with this posting is just to point out a minor error in layout of the webpage. (I find the problem on both of my computers.)

@ grashdur: which browser are you using? Could you please post a screenshot?

You might also try to clear your cookies/cache for the .ubuntuforums.org domain
