    Brightness Control Help c751nr

    Hello all. I recently upgraded from Gusty to Hardy. Before the upgrade I could set my backlight brightness on my Compaq C751nr laptop just fine with the softkeys and with the power control panel. After the upgrade I cannot set brightness period. I really do not want to go back to 7.10 because my audio problems I had were fixed (thankfully). Do you think that when the final release comes out that my backlight settings will work, or am I just out of luck?

    I have the same problem:

    Can't change the display brightness and it doesn't automatically change when I unplug the laptop from the power supply
    Function keys don't work for turning the audio up or down either

    applications-->add/remove

    search for "Displaycalibrator"

    you get gamma correction

    it's a good temporary fix, but it doesn't really fix the brightness as I realized.
