cant connect to internet

i have installed ubuntu 7.10 in my compaq v2000.im using huwei wireless router.i can see the name of network in the network manager and when i click the roaming mode i can see blue bars on rigt top of desktop.but i cant connect to internet.i have got connected only once n that was only for abot 30 seconds.pls help me

You could try removing network-manager and install WiFi Radar instead.
