    IPX protocol in ubuntu 7.10

    I was just wondering if there's an easy way to enable a ipx protocol, or if the kernel edit is really necessary. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Haven't used IPX. May be easy if the kernel was compiled with IPX support.

    go to system>administration>synaptic
    theres a search button. I did a search for IPX and found a few programs listed,

    If it wasnt compile dint he kernel you could try to compile it as a module.

    Sorry, got it to work already with "Sudo apt-get ipx" imagine that, eh?
