Oh very cool. I thought this utility was just for Intel, but it also works on PPC - to a point.

I downloaded it from Synaptic and ran it. It diagnosed my ppc system and displayed a few tips to keep my power consumption lower.

I had to run it with sudo powertop

How about that - an Intel utility that we PPC'ers can benefit from. Nice.
