firefox is gone

Hi everyone. My sisters new computer is a System76 Serval Performance. A very nice system. When we turned it on, we ran the System76 drivers from the admin panel and also did the few Ubuntu updates.

After rebooting, Firefox no longer works. Any tips? When I go to launch Firefox it says:

Failed to execute child process "firefox" (No Such file or directory)

I then went into synaptic and uninstalled Firefox, then reinstalled it and it still doesnt work.

I solved this problem by purging firefox, rebooting, then reinstalling firefox.
