I don't think that Intel graphics have direct rendering.

I have a GMA950 on one of my laptops. Can you tell me how to get Direct Rendering working?

What driver is set for your intel controller? You can check in System>Administration>Screens and Graphics.

    Re: No Direct rendering

Basically, Intel does not support direct-rendering on ANY platform (Windows, Mac, etc.). I hate it.

If you want to run compiz fusion just do this:
    Code:
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 compiz ccp && emerald --replace
or you can compile or install compiz-fusion icon.
