Installation freezes when the bar loads

    Hello,

I just received the Ubuntu live CD today and I can't install Ubuntu because it somewhat freezes when its loading. When the bar loads, it goes to about half way then it stops. I have waited numerous times before for up to 10 minutes, and it still is like that, even on numerous re-tries.

Anyone know what's causing the problem?

You might try to run the CD using the noapic parameter. When the CD starts up and gives you the options, press F6 and add noapic to the end of the line.
