    Using Hardy.
When i try to toggle to Auto-start AWN in awn-manager appears this in console:

    Delete autostarter for Avant-Window-Navigator.
rm: imposível remover `/home/gamont/.config/autostart//awn.desktop': Arquivo ou diretório inexistente
    toggled
    Couldn't create autostarter for AWN
    toggled
"Impossible to remove path : file or directory not found."
This path (autostart//awn.desktop) really dont exist.
    What i can do ?
    Thanks.

this should have the same effect as checking that box:
    Code:
    mkdir -p ~/.config/autostart/
    cp /usr/share/applications/avant-window-navigator.desktop ~/.config/autostart/

    hi reacocard,
Since Ubuntu Hardy there is a small bug with the trash applet; the applet try to use the path ~/.trash but it has been changed, so now the nautilius trash is in /home/johannes/.local/share/Trash/files. Could you fix this small bug, please.

first off, I'm not an AWN dev, I just package it, so I can't actually fix it.

Second, this is a known bug. Malept is working on it, I believe, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon. (in fact this is fixed in -agnostic, but that's too unstable for general use)

Re: HOWTO: functional eye-candy with Avant-Window-Navigator

Just want to inform that I have installed the avant window manager under Hardy with the trunk-repo that is described on page 1.
Got all the applets up and the manager seems very stable.

Suggestion to the developer of the desktopswitcher:
[delete]It should have some configuration-settings. I would like to have it smaller than it is right now, and maybe I would only like to have two and not four. For instance.
    Just a suggestion.[/delete]

Found out about the size configuration a few hours after posting. I must have been unfocused. Thanks for the feedback btw.

    to the avant team:
    Keep up the great work!

If you're referring to shinyswitcher there are several configuration options. Unfortunately there isn't a nice preferences dialog yet so you need to start gconf-editor and then navigate to /apps/avant-window-navigator/applets/shinyswitcher

You can use the applet_scale key to change the size of the applet.

Assuming you're NOT using compiz you can change the layout using the rows and columns keys. If you are using compiz you need to change the desktop layout in compiz.

Re: HOWTO: functional eye-candy with Avant-Window-Navigator

First, thanks for packaging this. I really like it.

I just reinstalled Hardy. Before I reinstalled when I got an IM (using Pidgin 2.4.1) the person's buddy icon would bounce up and down. After the reinstall, using the same version of AWN, the icons no longer bounce up and down.

I have played with various settings, but I can't seem to find the cause of this behavior. Any tips?

    Thanks.

set icon effects to 'Classic', and enable "Alert when application window updated"

I shouldn't have been so vague. I already selected that option. I have disabled, and re-enabled it to see if that made a difference. It didn't. Do you think I need to reinstall?
