no sound with flash, banshee and totem

hi,

when i have totem movie player or banshee playing in the background, youtube flash video sound does not work, and same thing vice versa. how do i allow both sound sources to play at the same time? thanks

I also have this problem, it started when the kernel was upgraded to 2.6.24-16. The previous version does not have this problem. If I figure out how to make it work, I'll post.

So, I went to System -> preferences -> sound and set everything to alsa. Now all is fine. If I remember correctly, this has always been the setting I had to choose in ubuntu, don't know why or how the settings were altered.

I can see pulse audio is also available now, but I do not know if you benefit from using it.
