    Change Unmounted USB Drive Name

    Hello all!

I just got myself a nice set of USB keys and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the name that appears when the device is unmounted. Currently, it shows up as 'Kingmax USB2.0 FlashDisk', and I'd like to change that, if possible. I know I can change it to whatever once it's mounted, but I'd like to get rid of the branding. Or is that etched into a spot of memory that's completely inaccessible post-production?

I've gone over all the options for parted/gparted, nothing jumped out at me. Any other utilities or ways of doing this? Thanks!

I believe you cannot...it looks like a device name.
