    No G.u.i.?

Okay so this is the 2nd time I've used wubi before, and seeing as 8.04 isn't on a stable release yet I figured I'd install 7.10, and it downloaded the iso and ran the installer everything went smoothly but when I reboot into linux rather than taking me into the gui, it takes me to a text based linux, same thing happens when I run 8.04 beta, what am I doing wrong here?

In case it's needed I'm trying to install a 15gig installation of ubuntu.
    And my Specs:
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    1gig Ram
    nVidia 8500 geforce
    500gig HDD
    Intel dual core processor

Was that after rebooting from windows or after linux side installation? See the wubiguide in either case (known issues).

There is no option for all of that.
Would this all be solved if I used 8.04?

Video driver issues that have not yet been addressed are unlikely to be fixed for 8.04.

But see the second paragraph in the wubiguide linke above
