D2 Lod???

does d2 and lod work on ubuntu? cuz if it does then i wont need to keep win xp on as a dual boot. j/w

Yes I have it running for 2 years already. It runs fine, although it used to crash maybe once a month. I'm seeing fewer crashes with the recent wine improvements.

do you have battle net working? how should i go about installing it? using wine or what ?

It's not that hard to install. Just get the latest version of wine, and then click on the setup program and open it with wine. You may have a problem with modal windows, which will prevent you from clicking on the install link in the setup process. To resolve that, just configure wine to run in windowed mode, or move the install window to the side or something like that. I can't remember the details, it was a while back.
