Sorry, I'm going a bit off topic here, but I feel I should correct you there...correctly if I am wrong
That phrase you have written is illogical. The right phrase (assuming you are phonetically writing the cliche) would be "correct me if I am wrong".
You may now be corrected if wrong (eg: other email clients exist). I don't know what would happen with the other method, but it's quite a paradox; best fix it to avoid tearing a hole in the universe!

There is already like a million and one ways to do what you described on Linux. Check out Zimbra or Citadel, they are "enterprise-friendly" solutions.
well Alfresco is a good colaborative tool althought it's primary goal is content management
