Mp3tag in wine doesn't look right

See the img file below. The font area's are all black and cannot be read. Also, the icon files are messed up. Is this due to a wine setting or am I missing some dll file?

You may be missing a dll.

Check Wine AppDB for details on your version of the program and report back if got somewhere with that info.

    Good luck.

I posted my screenshot there... It doesnt seem like anyone had an issue like mine as the only person that tested it had no issues.

Hmmm.. It looks like it had to do with the Wine theme I was using. I changed it to No Theme and the window looks fine. I tried both Clearlooks and the Windows XP theme. Both produced teh results seen in my first post.

Just curious, have you tried Easytag?
100 buckets of bits on the bus,
    100 buckets of bits,
Take one down, short it to ground,
FF buckets of bits on the bus.

Haven't tried it... just installed and it does look promising. Thanks alot.

I suppose themes are a common problem in Wine?

I second the EasyTag recommendation - in fact, when I try mp3tag in Windows I can't stand it, since I always forget to save changes before moving on to the next file. I can make multiple changes in EasyTag and THEN save. I also really like the file-rename and tag-from-file features in EasyTag, very customizable.

EasyTag is a lifesaver, I just wish it worked in Windows (though I haven't checked...) I custom-tag all my mp3s for Amarok because it makes sorting and playlist creation easier, then I transfer my mp3s to the XP machine to sync with my Zune [I was young, naive, and broke! It was on sale!] and have to re-tag to make them work. Sigh.

EDIT: It DOES have a Windows version! Yay! Although apparently no mp4 support. S'ok. I can't believe I was too lazy before to check. Goes to show that FOSS is always better.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been using EasyTAG for the past 30 or so minutes. It's working great
