rm -rf /home/user_id/music will only delete everything in music. rm -rf / deletes EVERYTHING. This is because Linux mounts everything under the root directory, which is /. rm will only delete the file path you specified, not everything below it.For example, if I enter "sudo rm -rf /home/music" (don't remember the location of the folder, but you get the point), does it erase everything from root to music, or just music?
