Yesterday I visited a local computer store looking for hardware for my system. When I informed the sales rep that I had Linux installed on my system I expected a very abrupt response indicating that they knew nothing of Linux at all (like they usually do). However this time the sales rep told me that he had just installed Linux on his system and in their shop they had 50+ internet boxes with Gutsy preloaded onto them. in previous visits to shops around town, I always came across a response of "I know nothing about Linux" or something like that. I am so glad that Linux is making its way to computer stores in the mainstream. Now I hope peripheral device manufactures will follow suit. He also needed help with a modem problem and I directed here, to this forum. If he made his way here "welcome" and spread the word of Linux and Ubuntu.
