trouble running existing vista in vmware

i have installed installed ubuntu and vista as dual boot, each of them is on separate HDD.
Ii managed to setup vmware but i can't create new hardware profile in vista(as descrabed in guide for xp) so i skipped that step.
now when i run vista in vmware i get BSOD:

    any solutions?

TheLions, can you provide more info?

You setup which vmware product? On Linux or Windows?
You can't create profile on real machine or virtual?

Did you disable critical services? That can be a good reason for BSOD. Did you try booting in safe mode or going back to last known configuration, system restore etc?
