Re: cedga VS wine

It depends what you want to be doing really, but on the whole I would say Wine is the best option, especially as it is nice and free.

I had a subscription to Cedega for a short while until I realised that everything I played worked better in Wine. If you have a general idea of what you are wanting to run you will probably be able to get a better idea of whats best for you.

Re: cedga VS wine

You should have a fairly good chance of getting everything you want working with wine. Halflife 2 and all the recent games from Valve (TF2, portal, etc) work perfectly on my system and WoW should be easy enough to get working (I can't speak from experience but there are dozens of howtos out there)

If you need any help with getting Hl2/TF2 or the other Valve games working send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

Good luck.

P.S.

For info about what works and how well (Or any tweaks) the do a search on this page:
