I graduated from the International Academy of Film and Television a few months back and moved back home to Louisiana. I currently work for a tv network but directing is my passion, talent, and aspiration. I'm currently in talks with some local producers here who are interested in working on a project that i have in mind. I am looking to network and develop professionally and am interested in meeting people who share my passion and enthusiasm.

I'm confused as to why you posted this here.

Does your project have anything to do with open source software or linux in particular?

I know some of the group have interest in photography, but I don't know of anyone mentioning anything closer to your interest.

I'm sure someone would be glad to help with something relating to promoting Ubuntu or even Open Source in general in Louisiana. Can you share more details about your project?
