How do I import or use my keys if I move them to another computer or to a newly installed computer?

Hi everybody,

I have an encrypted document (with my key) which I should decrypt.
After the generation of my key, my computer is formated and new reinstalled.

Now GnuPG find my key public and I can't use it for decryption!

Do you have a solution for me please? It's very important !!!

Thank you for tutorial!! and just a quick reply, because some one maybe as stupid as me, this may save them an hour of aggravation! You cannot encrypt directories, the saying is true: "never ***-u-me it makes an *** out of me an you" lol. I am a novice, so my ignorance should be forgiven.
