Thanks. I'll take a peep at the GTK interface and the core to follow up on changes.

This problem should have been fixed (I remember doing it).

The current branch code is already.
I had several conflicts on that file. I might have resolved them wrong. At any rate, here's a deb from my current revision. It should be identical to 1.0. I hope.

By the way, no need to apologize for criticizing my code. That's what peer review is about.

Thanks. I merged your recent changes (I noticed sysres wasn't executable) with the current 1.0 code.

I am mostly apologising for not reading your code and making assumptions

    Re: System Restore

Ok, I tested out the .deb and everything seems to work as well as it does (meaning, no new issues).

I pushed a minor change into lp:sysres/1.0 and once that is deb-ified, we'll release and celebrate and do our best to break trunk...

Thanks for all the help. I get the feeling some are doing more work than I did...

Also, perhaps it would be nice to have a script or more exact instructions on making the .deb?

I'll try to do it but I may fail...

Ok, I'm pretty much finished with the updating on the Qt interface, I've pushed the changes to my branch.

Success is getting others to do your work for you....

Yes, I've been thinking about a release script. I use one for Net Responsibility, and it simplifies things greatly, even though it's badly-written. I'll have to think about how best to accomplish that.

Here's the latest debian package. I'm including both the source and binary packages. If you can set up a PPA for sysres, then we can upload the source package and let Launchpad build and publish the .debs for us. Plus, we get a repo. Of course, any one of us can set up our own PPAs. I have one, though I haven't put anything there yet. But one specifically for sysres would be more elegant.

    I have one on launchpad.

I have one set up. I will try to get it working (something new to learn...)

    Re: System Restore

    I have good news everyone...

sysres-1.0 didn't restore at all, and since I had tested that code and it had worked I hadn't tested it again. A user found it.

The files weren't being written back. Actually, it will delete the files if ran.

    I immediately removed the downloads

The current lp:sysres/1.0 has the current code and needs to be repackaged.

The program was malicious with this bit of code missing...

    Wow, malicious?
Glad the user caught it before it could spread.

I swear that wasn't in there before. (Actually, I found it was malicious).

I am going to go over the bzr logs to see how it happened.

Until then, pull from lp:sysres (for unstable) or lp:sysres/1.0

mssever, since you are the one with the packaging knowledge...
