    VMWare workstation 6 dependencies

hey i installed VMWare workstation 6 on my system, however i got some error messages about some dependencies missing when i tried to run it after the install i forgot to save record of those missing dependencies and went to start it again so i could reference the error message but the software started up, I cannot start a virtual machine and receive the error message "unable to change virtual machine power state failed to connect to peer process" im assuming this is because of an unsatisfied dependency or missing library

when installing i followed this guide
    http://shirwa.wordpress.com/2007/05/...ubuntu-feisty/

    I am running ubuntu 7.1
my processor architecture is based on AMD Turion64x2

I need to know what libraries this software needs and what packages are available to install these libraries and what other dependencies it has as its no longer displaying whats missing to me when i try to run it.

a list of any dependencies would be useful with URL's that contain .deb packages that satisfy them would be more useful than a list of packages to install via aptitude for archival and offline install purposes.

Did you install Linux header files on your machine?
