geographic map and timeline for major linux adoptions

In a future that's not too far away from now, I'll be working in the authority. Once there I will of course try to push linux as a effecient and costsaving OS to work in.

I got plenty of arguments to back my statement up, but one thing that would help me (and others who want to push linux onward) is by showing who else is using it. What I'm really looking for is major authorities in the world who has migrated to linux. off my head I know the municipilaty munchen did migrate a large numbers of computers...

If someone could throw toghether a map (using googlemaps maybe?) with dates and numbers of machines migrated, it would be awesome for me and other linux propagandists

I think NASA has been using linux for some thing as well (planetary rovers/supercomputers etc). Try your luck on google, or may be someone else has some specifics.
