    Ebooks - Ubuntu Taboo!

Most ebooks now being sold are either Adobe Digital Edition, Microsoft Reader or MobiPocket formats. None of these formats are supported in Ubuntu or any other linux distro. Adobe and MobiPocket each promise, promise to support it in the future but in the end nada.

Makes me wonder who is pulling their strings.

Anyone else ticked off and want to vent or commiserate with me?

Why, in the end, nada? That doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

I do too, but living overseas leaves little real choice. The prices here are really up there. Shipping costs from US have also become prohibitive.
