    mythbuntu backend ip address setup

I am trying to set up a master backend and setting up the ip address part. i entered
    Code:
    ifconfig
and got a lot of stuff.
there were 2 things that looked like they could be the ip address i wanted. one was
    Code:
    inet addr: (then an address)
    and the other was
    Code:
    bcast: (then another address)
which one is the ip address i need to use, or is this the right way to even find out?

I'm pretty sure that inet address is your ip address. On mine:
    inet address: 192.168.1.3
    Broadcast: 192.168.1.255
