Hey guys, I am the creator of Feather mockup for the Hardy Heron Wallpaper: muahaha

If anyone wants to expand on this concept - either by making a similar work or a derivative (using the sources on the page), I would greatly appreciate it! I have already made one Remix, it is to the right of the original. I was hoping someone could take the original and remove the natural aspect of it - replacing it with 3d/rendering, abstract, or modern art.

may I know why you want to remove the "natural" aspect of it? I think the organic texture rather fits well with Ubuntu and it's philosophy.

When I first read that, I thought it means that organics should be avoided. However, taking another glance at it, I'm now unsure of what it means - does it mesh in a good way or in a bad way? (If it is the former, please don't get mad at me if I edit my first post )

AFAIK, mesh generally connotes good. They would use "clash" if they meant bad. Besides, Gutsy's elephant skin is pretty organic. And the color theme- browns and oranges, very earthy.

Forgot to say on my earlier post- I might make a few, do you want them all with the logo?

well, here are a couple- they're rather simple, no fancy renders or anything. The second is more of a splash screen or CD cover though.

Digg the feathers, not so much the color(s). Could you go with the ORANGE YELLOW RED colors like on the UBUNTU logo? Keep up the good work...
