I need a program to make videos with text and music

Looking for a program where I can take photos and add text and music, a la many Youtube clips. Preferrably a GUI one, please.

Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

try kino, seems most suited for your task, though you may want to try tovid also, it does have a gui, look in my sig (first link)

Pitivi and kino don't allow for importing of .jpg's, which is the main objective here. Trying tovid now.

You can make video clips from still images in Kino by going to FX, Create and choosing From File. Pick your still and how many frames you want and click Render.
