Dutch plan to implemenet open standards in government
YES!!!
parliament,or what is similar here, has agreed to implement a plan to get all the government departments working with open standards. They also have to seriously consider open source software before deciding to stick to proprietary software. This is good news for open source, and great news for your local programmer. Great news! The Dutch government committed to use Open Standards. With equal suitability Free Software (as in FLOSS) is to be preferred above Non-Free Software.
