Vmware, problem with expanding files while installing vista

So everything works, vmware. It picks up the CD. Put in the Product key, select install, choose the hard drive to install on. It then copies files. But it gets to "expanding files" and just sits on 0% Ive waited for ages(2 hours) and it doesnt move.

Anyone else got this or have installed vista? its the basic version.

According to VMware and MS (last time I checked) only Vista Enterprise (whatever the full version is) is the only version which will run in a virtual machine. The basic (home) version will not install.

I read that somewhere too, but it says on VMwares site it supports all versions:

    Letting other people know.

I created an ISO of the install vista disk and pointed the DVD drive to that and it worked fine.
