    windows does this to me on any kind of action taken from the quicklaunch bar. 20sec delays for anything to launch. /faceplam
    Firefox is bad in any environment.

    Don't like it myself. It performs Ok in Windows but in Ubuntu, it's been nothing but trouble. I rarely use it. Opera is my favourite. I've been using 9.50 since it became available, it's a Beta and it hasn't crashed yet.

    And...Adobe Flash works great on it!

    I don't really like it either. But I tried the Firefox 3 Beta the other day and I will definitely be using it. I was very fast and stable. I am going to switch to Opera for now and go back to Firefox when v3 is released.
    My Laptop: 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HD, Intel Integrated Graphics, Intel Pro Wireless 3945
    Partitioning: 10 GB Debian Testing partition, 10 GB Ubuntu 8.10, 1.2 GB Swap partition,and then 55 GB for "/media/Documents"
