sorry for this question, but for me, entrance seems to be just one part of enlightenment and it gives a very important visual impact for the user

isn't there a entrance svn? which you could also install/update via a script?
Entrance is in SVN, but if you install it with the easy_e17.sh script, it installs everything in /opt/e17, when Entrance has some hardcoded paths. Instead, we would have to provide an extra binary package (not in the spirit of OzOs).

well, too bad... i hope enlightenment will reach some sort of stable stage some day that distributions could benefit from the impressive eyecandy entrance and e17 can offer...

gdm+e17 seems so unnatural, but that's just me

You can always disable the login manager and start E17 from the shell (or even autostart it! ). I do this on Arch, as I set it to autostart when I start up, logging in and all, without GDM or anything.

This isn't OzOS specific, but could someone help me. I'm running arch, and when trying to load the module gadgets I get the error in my thumbnail.

    Thanks.

First off, how did you install E17 on Arch. Via the Community repos, Ronald's update script, or my easy-e17 package.

In that case, you might want to update via Ronald's script (see the wiki). It was probably a bug at the time of the snapshot. I, personally, find it easiest to use my easy-e17 package to keep things up to date (its basically the same as what OzOs uses, but for Arch), as it allows me to not spend unnecessary time compiling unneeded updates (Ronald's script recompiles everything, easy_e17 only recompiles what is updated).
