To avoid confusion as it's happening to more people, perhaps you should add that package to the how-to. It doesn't hurt and will guarantee that the package compiles successfully.

When I did ./configure, I got error message:-
'configure: error: cannot find sources (src/contacts.c) in . or ..'
any ideas?
Looks like you're missing a few things in your source folder. Are you sure your download of the source code was complete, or are you sure you untar'ed the source code completely?
Take a look at Osmo's source code folder, inside /src and let me know what's inside
