sa6045 mp3/video player

Hello, does anybody know how to connect (via USB) to a mp3/video player called Philips SA6045?
I've tried
Code:
mtp-detect
but doesn't work, if I do
Code:
lsusb
appear philips, so in some way it's recognised
It's working correctly only on windows, using windows media player 11, but I hate using windows only for using that horrible player
thanks for your help

Re: sa6045 mp3/video player

same here. i found a forum earlier this year where a philips representative was answering questions regarding linux drivers and the sa6045. he said they had no future plans to support linux drivers for this device. i then stated that this would definitely play a role in whether i purchased future philips products.

i can't find that forum now. i've spent a good deal of time looking for that post i made, but cannot find it anywhere. looking back, i wish i'd have saved that page, or bookmarked it.
